Kardamena is located on the south coast of the Dodecanesian island of Kos. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Greece, especially with young British travellers who are looking for a party holiday in the sun. Once a small fishing village, it is now a busy tourist hotspot and has a variety of English style pubs, clubs and restaurants. Despite its commercialism, visitors can still see remains of its culture in the old houses, narrow streets and stone breakwaters.

Visitors can enjoy a vast selection of water sports, such as windsurfing, water skiing and para-sailing. Jet skis can also be hired for a small fee on an hourly basis. The resort gets very lively at night time when the pubs, clubs and bars come alive with young crowds of mainly British tourists all out for a good time.
