Budapest Holidays

Image

Budapest is a striking city that is situated on the banks of the river Danube. The capital city of Hungary is a reflection of the 1,000 year-old culture of the region. The uniqueness of Budapest is that it consists of two parts, Buda and Pest, which stand on either side of the splendid Danube. The two sides of the city represent two completely different faces. Buda is a suburban region that is full of historical monuments, castles, medieval streets and houses with an old world charm, as well as museums and ruins. On the other hand the structures and buildings of Pest are a mix of the modern and the bygone era. The largest parliament building in Europe is situated in Pest. This part of the capital is witness to a bustling lifestyle that includes flea markets, cafes, bookstores and other regular places of daily life. As a whole, Budapest offers a vibrant atmosphere, with music a particular speciality of the city.
