Ischia Holidays

Image

Ischia is a volcanic island in the Bay of Naples. It is a beautiful, charming mix of sleepy spa towns, stunning countryside, vineyards and ancient ruins. With a wealth of villas, parks and museums to visit, festivals to attend and superb restaurants to dine in, Ischia is a wonderful place to take a short break.

When to visit

Ischia is something of a secret haven compared to its neighbour Capri, avoiding some of the tourist frenzy found there and on the Amalfi Coast – although it is still busy during high season. From May to June and from September to October are the optimal times to visit.

Ischia in summary

It may be less famous than its neighbour Capri, but for its sheer beauty, wonderful food and relaxed, welcoming local culture, Ischia is hard to beat. Spend a few days here exploring the many forests and coastal paths that offer spectacular views around the island, and take in the whole gamut of Ischian cuisine – from fine dining seafood restaurants to low-key, family run spots offering hearty Italian staples. With so much to offer in such a compact and manageable area, Ischia is an island delight that you will want to return to.
